Get Paid to Write About Virtually Anything on HubPages!

When you sign up to be an author on HubPages (which literally takes 5 minutes) you can earn online by providing original content on virtually any topic! There are no fees whatsoever to join HubPages. Do you want to write about travel? Would you like to write about movies or books? Can you write about food or recipes? Can you write about health, fitness or finance? Whatever your interests are, you submit content that will be published on the Internet, with the potential to earn you royalties - residually! Here, the only restrictions are that you cannot write or upload photos that are adult in nature or hate related (Google Adsense restrictions). Naturally, from an earning perspective, popular topics will garner more views, which can translate into higher earnings! Here are a few of the popular categories you can write in:

Entertainment, Family, Cookings, Tips, Business, Education, Home, How To, Recipes, Pictures, Advice, Food, Relationships, Marketing, Arts, Money, the Web!

Just looking over those categories, and there are more, I am sure there is an area in which you can contribute! Keep in mind, you are not required to submit a novellette! Your HubPage can consist of one page separated into maybe 4-5 paragraphs or so! Take a look at what some other authors are doing on the site and then let your creativity flow.

HubPages practices revenue sharing with its authors, so you need to set up, or provide your existing, Google Adsense, Ebay or Amazon affiliate IDs. When you publish a hub, it will be monetized by these ads or capsules. With Ebay and Amazon, you can determine what products you want displayed. You can also decide if you want to have Kontera text links displayed in your hub, and that can even be done on a hub-by-hub basis. HubPages splits revenue with you whenever someone clicks an ad or makes a purchase! So, the more hub pages you write and publish, the more views you can receive, which translates into a higher earning potential! By publishing on HubPages, your writing has can reach a much wider audience because of their positioning in major search engines.

There are other ways to earn as well. You can link to other HubPages and earn by driving traffic to those articles. You can use banners to refer others as authors for residual income - 10% of the royalties your referrals earn from their published content! They also have a flaship program that is available for more established writers, see the site for details. You will find this article by a popular HubPages author very helpful as she details a number of ways to earn, starting with banners: HubPages Banners and Badges--Increase your Earnings. You need to manually insert your code and she shows you how that is done. Linking to articles is very easy. You just find a HubPage you want to link to, scroll all the way to the bottom and click on Link to This Page. You can set up an additional tracking ID that is easy to remember (it allows up to 20 tracking IDs) and simply insert the code into your web site or blog.

As I said, getting signed up is so easy and literally takes 5 minutes! Be sure to read the FAQ pages by clicking on Help after you join. It is very thorough, covers every question you could think of, and will help you get off to a great start. If you need to get signed up with Adsense, Ebay or Amazon, you will find instructions here to help you do so.

HubPages is a great site to earn from your original content. By the way, you retain all rights to your material. With so many available topics and so few exclusions, if you enjoy writing at all, this is one opportunity you can't pass on. You can get paid to write about the things you enjoy! As with blogging, you may want to aim for at least 3 or more submissions per week to build content and earnings, but there is no required "minimum" posting schedule.

Sunday's Spiritual Musings

Job 39:19-25

Hast thou given the horse strength? hast thou clothed his neck with thunder?
Canst thou make him afraid as a grasshopper? the glory of his nostrils is terrible.
He paweth in the valley, and rejoiceth in his strength: he goeth on to meet the armed men.
He mocketh at fear, and is not affrighted; neither turneth he back from the sword.
The quiver rattleth against him, the glittering spear and the shield.
He swalloweth the ground with fierceness and rage: neither believeth he that it is the sound of the trumpet.
He saith among the trumpets, Ha, ha; and he smelleth the battle afar off, the thunder of the captains, and the shouting.

In the book of Job, we meet a man who God declared was righteous. If you are familiar with the story, you know Job was "put to the test" and in this book we see the curtains pulled back and get a glimpse into the spiritual realm - where God and Satan discuss this righteous, upright man. Satan declared that Job would curse God, but God said that this man would stand and God permitted Job to be tested. Job, who was very wealthy, lost everything: Livestock, servants, property, and all of his children - in one day. Yet Job passed the test because he declared that he would trust God, "though he slay me." There came another round of discussions in the heavenly realm, and Satan declared that Job would bend and curse God - if Satan could touch his skin. Again, God gave permission -- but set a limit that Job's life had to be spared. He was afflicted with horrible boils that covered his body from head to toe. We cannot imagine the anguish, pain and suffering this man experienced! When Job's friends arrived, after a number of days of silence, Job broke silence first and then they began to talk. Unfortunately, their speeches were full of accusations that Job or his children had sinned, only adding to Job's anguish.

One of the dangers of talking is you can just say too much! Job talked and talked and talked with his friends and that finally led to him beginning to make hard statements about God and his justice and judgment. But, Job also made some awesome statements full of faith that looked well into the future, even to Christ! God showed up to answer Job himself, in love. God began to point out things from his creation to demonstrate to Job how little wisdom and knowledge and understanding he possessed! By the time God got done, Job repented and said he would just cover his mouth, because he had erred in his speeches. Job realized how limited and finite his understanding was!

The same holds true today. Creation is so complex, man will never "figure it out". Each discovery, like DNA, only points to complexity and intricacy that points to a designer....not an accident. I thought this picture by Mary Vogt on the Morguefile was lovely. While the passage above speaks of the horses going into battle and their lack of fear and even their sense of excitement, those same horses experienced times of rest and refreshment and enjoyed quiet moments as is pictured above.

One thing I hate about being in the city is my limited exposure to the beauty of creation. Just to walk and observe and meditate can do wonders in adjusting one's perspective to how great God truly is! But, even in a concrete jungle there is a witness if you look closely! One of my favorite things to do is to simply look up. It is amazing how I can go about my business and not even notice the sky above my head. So, I try to remind myself to look up...the heavens declare the glory and grandeur of God. The Bible says that the clouds are the "dust of his feet!" I like to think on that and, as I do, I am reminded that I serve a mighty BIG God. Be blessed!

Visit GetAFreelancer for Genuine Data Entry Leads

If you have been looking far and wide for legitimate data entry work you can do online, you may have become very frustrated, even to the point of giving up. This territory is fraught with dangers - scam companies on the left and right. But, there are some real leads and you really can find genuine data entry jobs online! I posted previously about KeyforCash and in this post, I am going to connect you with GetAFreelancer in the data entry section of posted work. While there are some long-term positions, most are for a specific task and the "gig" is just until the task is finished. You could have several projects going simultaneously or ideally timed so that you finish one and then begin the next project!

I personally have not used this service. As you will see, this is a very popular site. If you are comfortable with the bidding process (not my personal cup of tea) then you may be able to land some true data entry jobs. Now, these may not be traditional "data entry" like you might think of from the 80s or 90s. Rather, one might require you to visit websites and collect information to enter into another site, rewrite articles, enter data in spreadsheets, or post to forums, just as a few examples.

While the data entry listings are varied on GetAFreelancer, and many appear quite interesting, be prepared for stiff competition! Some jobs even have double and triple digit bids! Remember also that on the Internet the playing field is very wide - even worldwide. So, if you are US based, you may find yourself bidding against individuals who live in countries with a substantially lower standard of living and hence they can offer a lower bid. Don't be discouraged because your strengths may enable you to have the competitive edge, especially if you possess excellent English and grammar. There are some very good leads at GetAFreelancer and you may be successful in placing a winning bid and landing a nice online data entry position.

If freelancing is up your alley, you will want to build your reputation and demonstrate your ability to complete tasks to order. GetAFreelancer has a link right in the bidding section where your feedback for prior tasks can be viewed. Obviously, just starting out, you may need to low bid to get jobs, and adjust your bidding as you build your "portfolio". Here is a sample of the feedback for one freelancer on the site.

So, don't give up on your search for genuine data entry jobs. Review the jobs at GetAFreelancer often and when you see something you believe you can do, submit a bid. You may be the fortunate winner and a brand new freelancer!

Frozen Treats are a Joy of Summer - Save Money When You Make Your Own

Today's post may seem a bit out of place, but it actually will fit in the saving money category. This was something I was looking for personally and I thought it might interest someone else too. Here in New Jersey we are having a heat wave. I believe the temps are expected to soar to about 95 today. Nothing satisfies on a hot day like an ice cold frozen treat! The other day I had an Italian water ice and it was absolutely wonderful. I thought maybe I could hunt down a few recipes and try making them myself. I can imagine a trip to Rita's for a family can be quite expensive! Save that for extra-special occasions and create memories with your children when you concoct your own frozen delights. I did some looking on the Net and at the end of this post are two threads that had just what I was looking for - recipes for homemade Italian water ice in various flavors (along with a little nostalgia) - and another for sherbets and sorbets - no special machine required!

I remember a very simple frozen treat my mother would make. I am from Florida and you know Florida is known for its oranges. She would simply slice oranges in half and then freeze. When the pulp was almost frozen solid, she would give each of us kids a half with a spoon and we would dig and scrape away! That was Berthine's version of Italian water ice - all natural - no sugar added. Quite delicious...but you have to start with great oranges. I remember she also purchased a homemade popsicle maker from Tupperware (I'm sure they still make them) and all you did was pour juice into the molds and pop them in the freezer. No fancy mold? Small paper cups will do. Just insert the popsicle stick when they start to freeze. When completely frozen, just peel the cup back or run under warm water for a few seconds to pop them out. I remember homemade ice cream sandwiches that were to die for!!! Funny, my fondest memories are not about going out, but the things we enjoyed right at home. My mother was very creative and she surprised us with things out of the ordinary! My older sister followed in her footsteps and she had a never-fail recipe for homemade lemon sherbet that she made right in an ice tray. It was absolutely delicious!

Another really simple treat is to just take your favorite melon - cantaloupe, honey dew, watermelon - and cut in chunks and then freeze. Then simply process in the blender with a few ice cubs and a little Splenda or Equal for a delicious low calorie frozen treat. Yum!

Here are the links:

Click here to view Roadfood.com thread on making your own Italian water ice.

Click here to view Razzle Dazzle Recipes for sherbets, sorbets and more.

So, make your own water ices, sherbets and sorbets, and keep a little change in your pocket, or a lot, depending on the size of your family and how often you purchase frozen treats. Then, when you do visit your favorite shop or parlor, it will be an extra special indulgence. Enjoy and stay cool!

Become a Focus Forward Online Panelist and Get Paid for Surveys, Focus Groups and More!

When you join the Focus Forward Online panel, you can earn cash for sharing your opinion with companies to help them better their products and services. Focus Forward has two options, both online and offline. Online requires Internet access (so I know you are set and ready to go), enrollment is quick and easy and you can earn anywhere from $1 to $5, or a chance for a prize, for completing surveys online. Offline requires that you provide a little more information, but enrollment still only will take about 5 minutes, and you will be notified of focus groups, special studies, product tests or phone interviews you may be suited for. The compensation here soars - from $75 to $250 cash (the numbers are higher in the members section if you are wondering about the difference) for your time and cooperation! You may ask: "Yea, but do they really send out invites?" They sure do! I just signed up with them several weeks ago and I received the following invitation for an offsite study. Unfortunately, I wasn't selected based on my responses. Naturally, the more surveys and groups you sign up for, the greater your chances of qualifying, and when you do - Cha Ching! This one was for 1 hour and paid $100!!! I would suggest signing up with both divisions. You can pick and choose which invites you want to answer, and you may just get a high paying invitation that is right up your alley!

After joining, you need to complete the enrollment form. Then, when you appear to meet a client's demographics, you will receive invitations via email. Usually you will need to answer prescreening questions first. If you satisfy those requirements, you can then complete the survey and receive the specified reward. Focus Forward will pay you cash, via check, when you request payment from the members area and you must have a minimum of $10 in your account. You have 12 months to request payment of accrued amounts or they will be forfeited.

Focus Forward Online is US based and has panels for:

*C Level Executives *Consumers *IT Professionals *Medical

They have a convenient email feature, but you can also send a custom letter and generate a link for that individual to join through. Unfortunately, the system requires a unique link be generated for each individual who joins - unlike most affiliate programs. If you would like to join Focus Forward, I would certainly appreciate you joining through my link. I am going to paste in 5 links. If you join, leave a comment letting me know which link you joined through so that I can delete it and replace it. Clear Voice Surveys Clearly Shine - All Cash Rewards and Every Survey Pays!

The Clear Voice Surveys Online Survey Panel is a refreshing change from the typical online survey company. Most will send you invitations and if you take the prescreener, qualify and complete the survey, you may be entered into a drawing, receive points or a cash reward. But, Clear Voice Surveys so values your time and participation that they provide cash rewards for all surveys and will even pay you a small amount (generally 25 cents) for surveys you fail to qualify for! That is actually what prompted this post. I received two invites, one for a beverage survey and another for an automobile survey. The prescreeners were very brief - just a few questions. I was surprised when I was thanked and told that 25 cents was being credited to my account. How considerate of ClearVoice to give me a small token of appreciation just for attempting to qualify! Even those small amounts can add up and help you reach the point of redemption sooner.

Clear Voice Surveys is a market research company that is headquartered out of Denver, Colorado and they conduct online surveys for leading companies in all sectors of industry, from health care to technology to consumers goods, etc. You can join their online panel if you are at least 13 years of age and this is one survey company with panelists worldwide!

It is free to join the Clear Voice Surveys Online Opinion Panel. Here, you earn cash rewards - not just a chance to win in a sweepstakes! Each survey can range in value from $1 to $20 typically. Remember, they even pay a small token (25 cents) even if you are not eligible to take the actual survey - so screeners pay! Once you have accumulated at least $10, you can redeem your rewards. ClearVoice offers the following options currently:

1. They have partnered with Payoneer and you can receive a prepaid debit Mastercard with your earnings on it. ($10)
2. Receive a $25 dining gift certificate by Dining Dough (your cost is $10).
3. Receive a $10 Amazon gift certificate (your cost is $10).

To get started, just complete the application form. You will need to provide an email. I have recommended in the past, and it works well for me, that you set up a separate email just for surveys and add "svy" to the name to make it easy to remember. After joining, you will next need to complete your profiling surveys. These are general and collect information about you, your interests, work, etc. to help match you for future survey invitations. Be sure to complete these in their entirety.

When it appears you are a good match for a survey, you will receive an invitation by email. I recommend that you check your survey email box frequently. Surveys fill up quickly (especially the higher paying ones), so check at least daily to stay on top of new arrivals. Here is a sample of what an invitation will look like. As you can see, it states the topic, as well as the potential reward. If you are interested you can proceed by clicking on the button.

If you have a busy web site or blog, Clear Voice also offers an affiliate program that requires an application. Affiliate earnings are paid via check or debit card. See the site for more information.

So, those are the details. This survey company clearly shines, paying for prescreening qualifiers and offering cash rewards you can receive by debit card! I like that my time is valued and I know you will too. Click this link to join the Clear Voice Surveys Online Opinion Panel and get paid for sharing your opinions with companies worldwide!

Sunday's Spiritual Musings

2 Chronicles 5:13-14

It came even to pass, as the trumpeters and singers were as one, to make one sound to be heard in praising and thanking the LORD; and when they lifted up their voice with the trumpets and cymbals and instruments of musick, and praised the LORD, saying, For he is good; for his mercy endureth for ever: that then the house was filled with a cloud, even the house of the LORD; So that the priests could not stand to minister by reason of the cloud: for the glory of the LORD had filled the house of God.

We had an awesome time today in the House of the Lord! Today was Unity Day, where we celebrated our oneness in the body of Christ and we had a full day with morning and afternoon services and dinner in between. Both speakers were truly anointed of God and the house was filled with the glory of the Lord - with the Holy Spirit - with His Presence.

It is something when the musicians and singers minister under the anointing! You see the importance of music and song in the above verses, which was at the time the Solomon dedicated the first temple of God. As the people sang and played and began to praise and thank God for his goodness, God literally began to fill the temple with a discernible cloud that was so heavy that the ministers could not even stand. Oh, His Glory! Two things I love about my church are the anointed praise and worship and the moving of the Holy Spirit! There is nothing, nothing, nothing, like being in God's presence. Really, you cannot even begin to praise Him as you ought without his Spirit helping you and enabling you to do so.

The Word says we bring the sacrifice of praise into the house of God. We are to enter into his gates with thanksgiving and praise. Praising God in music and song, just lifting your voice and saying "Thank You, Lord" and "Hallelujah" or "Praise You, Lord Jesus," is liberating and freeing, a powerful force in the spirit realm. We overcome when we praise God! We see a picture of that in the story of Jericho, which was a fortified city with high walls. When the people were obedient and followed God's instructions, at the command of Joshua they lifted up their voice and shouted, and God brought the walls down! Or, think of David who was brought into service to play before king Saul, and his anointed playing drove the evil spirit that was troubling him away! Remember, especially during times of spiritual warfare, those times when you are "going through", that anointed music is an important part of your battle plan.

I love Sunday when I can let loose and truly praise God with all my heart. I praise Him at home - but not like at church! Maybe that is why God says we are not to forsake the assembling of ourselves together. There is a corporate anointing that only is in evidence in the body of Christ, in the church, when believers come together. I thank God for my church and for an opportunity to praise him, for being refilled and refreshed on today. Every time I open my mouth and give Him glory and praise from my heart, I know my Father is pleased. He says He even dwells, lives in, the praises of his people! So, when we praise God, we invoke his presence.

Just as in the original and first dedication of the temple of Solomon above where God gave his signature of approval with a cloud of His Glory, I have to tell you, God does not change! We may not "see" a physical cloud today (that was for a sign in that day), but, Oh, we feel the presence of the Lord! There are times when the Holy Spirit is moving that some cannot stand, just as in that day. There are times when the Spirit moves you to tears, and times when you experience great joy and an overwhelming sense of His love for you. I am so glad that God is still moving by his Spirit! Be blessed!
